Lisa Olivia Munn is a resident of Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam and has Chinese roots, while Winston Barrett Munn's family is roots deep in the American South. Olivia was only two when her parents divorced. Her family consisted of her stepfather as well as her mother who was a United States Air Force member. Olivia was raised within Tokyo in Japan. Even though her family had moved from Oklahoma to many other places but it was it in Tokyo where she got the bulk of her education. In Japan, she acted as a local actress in shows and eventually turned into an Japanese modeling model. Olivia relocated into Los Angeles when her family had came back to her home in the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. She started her acting career by playing a minor character. Her career then began to take off after she was cast as Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007, she played Rob Schneider's Receptionist. She is the host of "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Her love of surfing has been a constant following the television series Beyond the Break. Additionally, she holds a black belt in taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother remarried. This time she married a US Air Force serviceman. Though the family had moved many times, the bulk of her existence was in Tokyo Japan in Japan, which is the area in which her father worked for the military. She was a journalist in the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese drama, dramatic arts, and acting.
