Pickler lived in a difficult environment. She was just two when her mother abandoned her to get away from the abusive marriage. In 1995, she returned to Pickler's world and gained the custody rights. This did not go very well. After Pickler aged 12, the court returned her to her maternal grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler was busy with raising her younger siblings in the absence of parents. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of both parents, Pickler had no time to take classes. In the meantime, she began in the process of learning to care for her family at an earlier stage. Pickler was a cheerleader in the middle and high school she attended.
