Pickler was raised in a difficult environment. She was just two when her mother left her in order to escape an abusive marriage. Pickler had her mother back in her life by 1995. She took the care of Pickler. This did not go as planned. Pickler's grandparents raised her from 12 to she reached adulthood. Pickler was, in the absence of her parents and her older siblings, was too busy to have a family. The time she had was limited and she learned how to take care of her family at a young age.
