Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and music producer. She was raised by her mother and her father, in USA. Her childhood was filled with racist remarks and felt unloved. If she attended a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade she began to feel more confident. The event not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed her goals in life. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big break. The character in The Lad of The Lake became her most memorable breakthrough, bringing her an award called the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. Following that, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. A well-known performer, she has also recorded songs and plays. In her role as an activist, she strives to promote LGBT equality.
